01Why this page exists
ForeignEduLoans shows information about a number of banks and NBFCs so that students can compare education-loan options. This page explains exactly what that display does - and does not - mean.
ForeignEduLoans is not a bank or NBFC. It does not lend money, does not sanction loans and is not an RBI-approved lender. It is a brand operated by Gateway Educonnect that helps students compare and coordinate education-loan options.
02What a lender's name or logo on this site means
A lender name or mark shown on this website falls into one of two categories.
Category A - current written arrangement
Institutions with which Gateway Educonnect holds a current written arrangement that permits the relationship to be represented and the mark to be used. Only these may be described as a "partner" or as an institution "we work with".
Category B - public information only
Institutions listed purely for comparison using publicly available product information. No affiliation, authorisation, endorsement or partnership is implied. Rates and terms are sourced from public disclosures and may be out of date.
Bank, NBFC and lender names and marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance is not an RBI endorsement.
03How we match you to lenders
We use a documented, consistent method to identify lenders that appear relevant to the destination, amount, collateral position and profile information you provide. The same method is applied to similarly placed borrowers.
Where RBI rules for a multiple-lender LSP arrangement apply, we will show all matching offers with lender name, amount, tenor, APR, monthly repayment and penal charges together with a link to the Key Facts Statement, and will disclose the names of lenders that did not match. Where offers are ranked, the ranking metric is disclosed.
We do not use dark patterns or paid nudging presented as objective suitability.
04Your information is not sent to every lender
Submitting an enquiry form does not send your application to all the lenders shown on this site. We identify the specific lender or lenders proposed for you, show you who they are, and take a separate lender-sharing consent that names them before any personal information is transmitted.
Each lender then processes your information under its own privacy notice, KYC and credit rules.
05Rates shown on this website
All rates, maximum amounts and lender counts on this website are indicative, sourced from publicly available lender information, and subject to change without notice. They are not an offer, not a sanction and not a Key Facts Statement.
Your actual rate depends on the university, course, co-applicant income, collateral, credit history and the lender's own assessment. Always verify against the lender's official KFS or offer document.
06Fees
ForeignEduLoans does not set any lender's interest rate, sanction terms or statutory charges. The lender decides all loan charges and discloses applicable costs in its official documents and Key Facts Statement.
Where the RBI Digital Lending Directions apply to ForeignEduLoans as a Lending Service Provider, fees payable to the LSP are paid directly by the regulated lender and are not separately collected from the borrower.
07Funds never flow through us
Loan disbursal and repayment happen directly between the lender and the borrower or permitted end-beneficiary. ForeignEduLoans does not receive, hold or pool loan proceeds or repayments, and does not operate a pass-through account.
Never transfer money to a counsellor's personal account. Follow only the payment instructions in the lender's official communication.
